Roopkund is a high altitude glacial lake in the state of Uttarkhand in India. But the fort was captured by the British in 1784 and later by the Zamorins in 1790. Today the fort is under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India and is really a must see spot in Palakkad tours. There is Rishabnathan in the third division and Parswanathan in the fourth. The inner position of the temple is very simple and the plain granite walls that form the main feature add to the beauty within. There is an unadorned main altar and thus the temple has its own charm. There was a population of around 400 Jain families here once upon a time. Today there are even less Jains yet the temple has the same amount of respect and adoration as before.

Then you have the Vadakkantara temple, which is on the way to the Jain temple. With the Goddess Bhagawaty, presiding over the temple this is a lovely construction of ancient times. It is believed that Bhagawati is an incarnation of Kannagi who is a heroine of a famous Tamil epic called Silappadhikaram. Fireworks are an attraction in this temple and this is a regular feature in all temples in Kerala. People look forward to hearing the crackers at the same time everyday and thus the entire atmosphere is very charged and positive here.

Visit the Manapullikaavau, which is believed to be the second of the two most important goddess Bhagawati temples in Palakkad. Revered as a great religious destination this temple is more than 1200 years old. The idol here is believed to be a swayambhu or self created. The main idol was consecrated later. The temple is famous for the Vela festival, which is a major event here in Kerala.

Then of course, you have the Kalpahty Agraharam and the Vishwanatha Swamy temple. With Lord Shiva as the presiding deity here, this was constructed in 1425. It is a small structure and has a gigantic flagpole, which is used well during the Chariot festival celebrated every year. The festival is a major attraction here and goes on for around seven days and people compete with each other to pull the magnificently decorated chariot. It is said that people believe that Lord Shiva himself comes and blesses the chariot.

Go to the Kumarapuram temple, which is a lovely temple on the banks of the River Bharatapuzha. It was a great spot for Vedic learning and Lord Prasanna venkatachalapathy the deity at the temple also had Mangalambal and Alamelu, his two consorts escorting him. This is a temple, which has rites akin to the Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh. Venkatachalpathy is the same as the Lord Balaji in Tirupati and so people revere this temple a lot.

Then of course, there is Malampuzha, which has a lot to offer. One who comes here gets completely taken in by the ambience and enjoys the sight of the beautiful rose garden spanning over 100 acre here. There are many reptiles here and also a ropeway, which is at a height of around 60 feet. There is also a fancy park with around 20 ride options. A KTDC or Kerala Government owned Garden house, which helps you to get motor boats, pedal boats, row boasts, and water scooters. One also comes to see the bare bodied Yakshi or demoness here with the head thrown back and with the fisted hands raised and kept close to her ears. Malampuzha is certainly a great picnic spot and is around 14 km from Palakkad.

You would have to spend a lot of time getting acclimatized to this place and as you visit the monasteries here you would surely love to be in the midst of the Shey, Hemis, and Thikse monasteries which are famous destinations here in the land of Ladakh. Get into those routes with the best picturesque villages and the most ideal travel delights. So go to the high plains of Nimaling and reach the Stok Kangri Base Camp. The Mount K2 is also seen from here and this second highest peak in the entire world is at a height of around 8611m and provides great travel pleasures.

People normally come to Leh, the Ladakh capital and then proceed to experience the trek which starts from the base. When we went for the trek we explored the monasteries that are so much part of this place and we enjoyed the entire experience.

The second day we tried to go on a short hike to the top to practice the method of exercising at this elevated height. The Stok Kangri was perched on the other side of the lovely valley and we were quite prepared for the challenge that we were waiting for.

On the third day, we went driving to a place called Spituk which was the closest road that was near Stok Kangri. Then we had to get ready to start our trek. We started it with an easy walk of around four hours. We then reached a region called Zing Chan. We stayed overnight here and the camp was quite exciting.

The trek continued the following morning with us going to the base of the Stok la which was a pass below the mountains. The entire trip we were trekking in the lovely landscape of Ladakh. We were totally taken in by the entire surroundings and the whole experience was really fascinating. Here at the base of the Stok La, we halted and had a good meal and then slept overnight. We had a good night’s sleep.

The following day we went to trek over the Stok La Pass and camped at Mankorma. This pass gave us great views of the entire region of Stok Kangri. We loved the beautiful scenery around and the enchanting sights here are very mesmerizing.

I still remember how we climbed onto a ridge and then we went towards a large glacier. We crossed the glacier and then had gone up the summit. The last lap of the trek is very strenuous and takes a toll on our physical strength. The panoramic view from his region is a sight to behold. The Karakoram Range was to our north west and it was a great sight.

While on the Stok Kangri trek the enchanting sights of the snow clad peaks was what held our attention and we were completely enthralled by it. Again walking past the village of Stok was a great thrill and we could see the best sights of the forts and castles here. This drive was around six hours and was very enriching and thrilling.

Then we proceeded towards the Khardung La pass. This is the major challenge for the entire trip. Today this is the highest motarable road and the whole purpose of the entire Stok Kangri trek was wonderful.

With the greatest pleasures and the most ideal travel delights, the Stok Kangri Trek is a great challenge and an ultimate luxury for all adventure lovers.

The Oligocene, along with Miocene and Eocene, are three epochs in geology that is part of the same Tertiary. Oligocene lies between Eocene and Miocene, while Pliocene comes after Miocene. The Tertiary was during a time when dinosaurs were already extinct.

Fossils . . .

The region of Riversleigh had a number of fossils discovered that are inclusive of teeth and bones of pre historic animals that are extinct. This includes such animals as tiny bats, marsupials and flightless birds. There are a huge number of other fossils found. In addition to the Naracoorte Caves located in South Australia, at a distance of more than two thousand kilo meters away.

Riversleigh was declared as a World heritage Site in 1994, and represented a major stage of the evolutionary history of the earth, and is a superb example of the ongoing ecological and biological processes of the earth.

The Riversleigh fossil mammal sites encompass close to ten thousand hectares of area. It is part of the Boodjamulla National Park at the southern section of the park, located two hundred and fifty kilo meters to the north of Mt Isa.

A number of animals can be observed when you are on the rides. The zoo remains open all through the year. The theme park side of the site was launched in 1987.

Chessington World of Adventures theme park has twenty six rides, four of roller coasters and two water rides. There are rides that will suit all ages but there are height restrictions on some.

Phnom Kulen is an incredibly beautiful destination in Cambodia. The best way to get here is via Siem Reap city, which is about an hour and a half from the destination.

Structure

The silver structure of the BMW museum is commonly called the salad bowl or white cauldron. You get an entry on the ground floor where there is a reception and a cloakroom that is at the basement. Exhibits

Each space in the museum is filled with the model cars along with video shows in various languages so that the visitors know about the philosophies as well as the technical feats of the automobile company. Since 1973, the BMW Museum is the home of the historical documents of BMW AG and today aims at enthralling the visitors with the interesting subjects like communication, mobility, and society.

The exhibition zone is split into many zones – Seven exhibition houses, BMW roadster, Art Car collection, Visions, and temporary exhibitions. The BMW museum takes you through the company’s technical development via a quick look at the turbines, engines, motorcycles, aircraft, and vehicles in several variations. Besides the real prototypes, you can enjoy looking at the futuristic-looking models too. And above all, the great serene atmosphere maintained by the smart use of headphones as well as indirect lighting is very enchanting. Due to this, you can easily focus on the technical development.

The westmore land is located in the westernmost parish I all of Jamaica.  This place is also located on the southern side of the island. When you come to the downtown part of Negril, you will see that the southern portion have a beach which spans about eleven kilometers.  These beaches lie in hangover. This happens to be the largest town in the Savanna in La mar closes to the Beaches Negril.

For many years, the beaches in Beaches Negril have been rated to be one of the top ten cheapest in the whole world by travel magazine.  In fact the northern side of the beach is home to what seems like a large inclusion of resorts and then to the south of this, there are teaks of hotels that are run by families.

Because of this weird and lovely combination, the Beaches Negril region has a large variety of rooms, prices and services.  This goes all the way to the south of downtown which is on the west end road. This is known as the cliff area. Also this place is lined with many resorts that offer you a lot of privacy.  There are areas which also offer easy access to the water for snorkeling and diving. There are jumping platforms that reach more than forty feet high.

There are underdeveloped remains of what seems like a sign fact actor with undoubted charm.  Although it may not last, there still is a new higher which starts at Montego Bay and the infrastructure in this place and its awesome facilities is what brings in a lot of tourists.

During recent years this place has developed as a popular tourist destination for college students to vast during spring break.  It is quite common to sunbathe topless on the seven mile beach. There has been major development along the seven mile beach. There are resorts that include the famous themes like couples swept away, sandals, beaches, samsara hotel, legends resort and the couples Negril. There is a branch of jimmy buffets chain which is part of a restaurant and bar.

The geography of Jamaica is quite diverse. Along the western coastline, there are the finest beaches on the island and it stretches for about seven miles.  There is also a six kilo meter sandbar. This would be on the Negril River which is on the south of the Rutland point from the north. To the east of the show on the inland is the main road of Negril, this is where a swamp called the great morass has a royal palm reserve and the wetland and forest regions of the place is protected by law.
