The Basque town of Guernica in Spain had a major aerial attack in the year 1937. In this, many civilians died and after the Pablo Picasso the artist started, a mural size work called the Guernica. This was a reaction for the bombing and was a way to express the tragedies in war. Spain has a national museum dedicated for this form of art of the twentieth century. The Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia is also known as the Queen Sofia Musuem and the Sofia, the El Reina Sofia and is a major art destination and museum. It was inaugurated in 1992 in the month of September and was named Queen Sofia. Situated in Madrid, near the Atocha metro stations, this is also known as the Golden Triangle of Art.
