Imagine being in a place that is the worlds’ most famous site for the mining of black opal and other opal gemstones! Lightening Ridge is a quiet town located in New South Wales, Australia. Also, this town is known to have the largest deposits of black opals on the earth. Because of its primary mining affiliations, this town has been doing very well in the tourism sector. Many trailer-camping parks have been set up. You can also try your hand at the local bowling club which is very friendly and is sure to give you a lesson or two if you need it ! One of the most fun things about this town is its annual goat race. And on easter the town celebrate by having a rodeo ! Children ride the harnessed goats. Get Enchanted in Girona, Spain

Although not very famously known is the richest city in Spain, No, it’s not Madrid ! I am taking about the charming city of Girona. This is a city that exists from thousands of years and is the capital of Catalonia. The city is very beautifully maintained and if you take a walk out onto the uncrowded streets then you would know exactly what I am talking about! Since the city is not that populated, it is quite difficult to get lost here. The city of Girona has a lot of historical importance as the city has been taken over by foreign colonies seven times. The entire town is enclosed, so to speak, with high rising walls that go high up and then lower continuously like a loop. These were built to protect the city during earlier times. You could even take a walk up these walls for free. One of the most visited places in Girona is the cathedral.  [...]

The island of Madeira is famous for being a passing stop for cruises when they traveling from Europe to the Caribbean side. This island is a part of Europe although it is closer to Africa. It is essentially an archipelago that belongs to Portugal.The weather here on the island is awesome throughout the year. You will experience days being a little sunny with slight rainfall throughout the year. You can get there by the two airports on the island, as well as the ferried which let you take your vehicle along as well. You can opt to take the many private buses which take you around the island. Madeira, like every other holiday destination has sunny beaches, good food, sandy shores and nice things to look at. Visiting the township of Longaberger is just the first thing you should do. While you are at it, you could shop at the Longaberger stores, speak to the towns folks who are very much into- the Longaberger lifestyle. Wait, theres more ! , now make your way to the Longaberger headquarters to deposit your party order or if you don’t have a party, thats no problem, You could still just head over for a sight of the seven floors of the Longaberger Basket Building!!! The building is the brainchild of the Longaberger Empire founder – Dave Longaberger. Nelson Lakes National Park is a charming alpine park of rocky peaks, glacial lakes, and forests. Nelson Lakes National Park is a dense area of soaring mountain ranges that are separated by means of forested valleys, and promises each and every level of challenge meant for any keen hiker or mountaineer. According to the Maori mythology these lakes were actually created by the grand chief Rakaihaitu digging holes through his ko (commonly the digging stick).
