Stonehenge, Wiltshire

A prehistoric monument, Stonehenge is located at Wiltshire. Wiltshire is situated at a distance of about 3.2 km to the west of Amesbury and also to a distance of 13 km to the north of Salisbury. Stonehenge is one of the most popular cities in the world. Stonehenge has a composition of earthworks which is being surrounded in a circular shape by huge standing stones. The centre has a huge monument which belongs to the Neolithic and the Bronze Age. Also there are many mounds which are buried.  Many archeologists have stated that the monuments which are made up of stone do belong to 2500 BC. Many also believe that they might be erected much before a 3000 BC and some do believe that till 2400-2200 BC there were no such stones erected. The circular construction dates back to 3100 BC. The Summer Palace In China

The Summer Palace or Yihe Yuan is a palace located in Beijing, China. Yihe Yuan means Gardens of Nurtured Harmony. Longevity Hill which is about 60 meters high and the Kunming Lake dominate the Summer Palace. The total area surface of the summer palace is about 2.9 square kilometers out of which, water covers the three quarters of the total area. The Kunming Lake which is located at the center of the palace has the total area surface of about 2.2 square kilometers. The Kunming Lake is totally man made. The soil which was available after the digging of the lake was later used in the construction of the Longevity Hill. In summer palace you can find various gardens, palaces as well as other classically-styled architectural buildings. In 1750 the Summer Palace was known for being the garden of clear Ripples. Commonly known as Tower of London is the Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress also it is historically known as the tower. It is a well-planned building and a fortress having an historical importance. Calat Alhambra which is commonly known as Alhambra is a fortress and palace constructed by the Moorish rulers in the mid 14th century in the then called Al-Andalus. Schönbrunn Palace is an old royal summer residence. It is located in the Vienna, in Austria. Schönbrunn Palace has the privilege of being one of the most significant cultural monuments of the country. Also it has been declared as the most visited tourist destination since 1960. Moai On The Easter Island

Easter Island is a group of island in the Pacific Ocean and is located at the Polynesian triangle. Easter Island is a territory of Chile which was annexed in 1888.  Easter Island is very much popular among the tourists for its 887 monumental statues which are commonly known as Moai.
