Dallas is a vibrant and dynamic city situated in Texas State, USA. The city is located in the northeastern portion of the state. It was established as a trading post in 1841, and has come a long way from its humble beginnings to be one of the largest and most developed cites in the country.

The city is home to more than a million people, and extends over the four hundred sq mi. The Dallas Fort Worth area has more than five million people. Dallas is acclaimed as a corporate center. There are a huge number of excellent sights and things to do on offer. Dallas has a collection of the best in terms of shopping, dining, nightlife, entertainment and more.

Dallas encompasses the Arlington and Fort Worth towns to form the sprawling city known as the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Dallas is cosmopolitan in the essence. There are a number of historical neighborhoods and smaller communities incorporated within the city. The West End area, Swiss Avenue Historic District and the 17 blocks of the Arts District are excellent locations to start your tour of the city.

Dallas has a number of tourist attractions, including a number of must see sights, monuments and landmarks, art galleries and museums, recreational activities and some excellent guided tours. There are top ranked attractions such as the Six Flags over Texas Amusement park, Dallas Zoo and the Dallas World Aquarium. Also make sure you catch some of the wide range of theatrical productions.

Dallas is a great destination for shopping as well. There are a huge number of shops here. These are inclusive of numerous designer outlets, world famous department stores, malls and more. There are a number of popular shopping locations such as the Stonebriar Center, Willowbend Center, Mockingbird Station, Northpark Mall, Deep Ellum and Greenville Avenue.
