This museums has one of the largest collections of art right from the medieval period right to the contemporary period, in the whole world. The story of this museum begins with an emperor; the art could only be exhibited publicly when the Austrians had been driven out of the southern part of Netherlands. When napoleon came along, he seized most of the paints here from Brussels and sent the most brilliant of these paintings to the museum de louver in Paris, France. The museum de louvre could not accommodate the large collection of the Brussels paintings. So napoleon ordered that there be fifteen departmental museums to hold the paintings. About fifty of these stolen paintings were sent back to Brussels Museum for their first exhibition. . Literally meaning high valley, Wadi Rum is one of the most spectacular desert location in Jordan. The main tourist attraction in Jordon is of course Petra, although the Wadi rum is the second most famous tourist site in this region. Imagine being in a place that is the worlds’ most famous site for the mining of black opal and other opal gemstones! Lightening Ridge is a quiet town located in New South Wales, Australia. Also, this town is known to have the largest deposits of black opals on the earth. Because of its primary mining affiliations, this town has been doing very well in the tourism sector. Many trailer-camping parks have been set up. You can also try your hand at the local bowling club which is very friendly and is sure to give you a lesson or two if you need it ! Although not very famously known is the richest city in Spain, No, it’s not Madrid ! I am taking about the charming city of Girona. This is a city that exists from thousands of years and is the capital of Catalonia. The city is very beautifully maintained and if you take a walk out onto the uncrowded streets then you would know exactly what I am talking about! Since the city is not that populated, it is quite difficult to get lost here. The city of Girona has a lot of historical importance as the city has been taken over by foreign colonies seven times. The entire town is enclosed, so to speak, with high rising walls that go high up and then lower continuously like a loop. These were built to protect the city during earlier times.
