Shirdi Sai Baba Temple – Where Miracles do happen

Come to the land of Maharashtra in India and do visit the place which has witnessed a great number of miracles. This miracle land is today known as Shirdi and is the place where there is proof of the magical powers of belief.

This beautiful temple of Sai situated in Shirdi is a tribute to the great Sai Baba who used to live here once. This temple has actually been built over the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba. Established in the year 1922, it has been set up to carry out all the services for the great saint Sai Baba.

Shri Sai Baba lived in this area from the year 1838 and 1918. No one actually knows when and where he was born. Chandbhai was the headman of Dhoopkede village in the district of Aurangabad in Maharashtra in India. He was once searching for his lost horse when a voice asked him to rest. He turned to see a saint. The saint knew his name and the villager quite surprised told him about his lost h horse. The saint told him to look for it behind the trees there and sure enough he found the horse there. Surprised and intrigued, Chandbhai thanked the saint and asked for his name. He said he was Sai Baba. Chandbhai who belonged to Shirdi took him along and from then on Sai Baba lived in Shirdi. He lived in a mosque and when he died his body was cremated in a temple.

Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is responsible for the Shradhha kind of faith, which is followed by millions of people in India and around the world.

The Shirdi Sai Baba temple with its easy location attracts a million devotees and innumerable followers of his faith across the world. People of all castes, creed and religion come here and pay homage to the Saint. This small village of Shirdi lies in the talk of Kopargram and is witness to Baba living here. In those days the village had just around 80 houses with thatched roofs and mud walls. Today this small village has got converted into a big town and a great pilgrim spot along with being a favourite tourist destination too. There are magnificent buildings here today as well as shops which cater to the need of the pilgrim.

Shirdi Sai Baba devotees believe that Thursday is a good day for worshipping him. The Sai temple at Shirdi opens from 5 in the morning and remains open till the end of the Shejarti.

There is a banyan tree in the Shirdi Sai Baba temple and it is revered greatly by all the worshippers. This is believed to be the place where the Sai Baba came out from the marriage party of a local villager Chand Patil. The tree is located on the right side of the entry to the temple. There is a small temple with the Baba’s padukas there and all worshippers make it a point to worship this temple and also the tree.

Tales of the miracles of Baba are many. The  is a place of faith and belief so come here with lot of devotion.
