Come to the beautiful land of desert and sunshine at Muscat in Oman

By now you might have seen a lot of people wobbling whimsically across the limestone and losing their balance. The beach isn’t much too actually an alternative to not slip. The old refinery here is quite pebbly. Although if you do want to relax then you can get into one of your catatonic states and get some sleep or something like a siesta in the very lap of luxury. There is an amazing spa and diner which is fit for royalty. Still wondering? The Chedi, the famous and opulent Chedi is just up the valley. In fact after you have you nice late breakfast, it would be a good time to get yourself a massage and then maybe you could just laze around in the pool.  The children could play in the sand and have their own fun. The thing is that Muscat happens to be a mixture of modern building that is quite impersonal. There are shopping malls, mosques,  [...]

New Horizons Of Muscat attractions in Oman

When you think of Muscat in Oman, you usually think of deserts, the oh so pretty belly dancers, kababs, barbeques, camels, Bedouins and tents. Apart from the oil and the wealth, of course. When you do come here though, you would find miles and miles of barren, rubble. In fact you might not really much vegetation here. There are cliffs with sharp rocks jutting out. You could drive for hours and feel like you are on the surface of the moon, with the belly dancers lingering somewhere; hopefully! You might probably come across a man, dressed up in the traditional ‘dishdasha’ which is a very meager and flimsy protection with any regard to the kind of heat that this place receives.  You might wonder; if there is no habitation around, so what exactly this fellow would be doing here! Right ahead, you might suddenly come across a few date palms  [...]

Living it Arabiata in Aleppo, Syria

When you have an awesome mix of medieval and just the right amount of modern, you could say that you probably are in Aleppo. This is a place in Syria. The capital Damascus is supposed to be the world’s oldest inhabited city. This is home to the Arabs, the Circassians, the Kurds, Armenians and many others.  Syria happens to be a secular country which has a lot of religious tolerance.  All this is reflects in the ethnic make up and religious functioning in Aleppo.  In fact this place also has a substantial Christian population. The city looks quite exotic, and when you travel from the old express terminus, you might want to go see the Dervishes which are still whirling. You could see them perform in the many restaurants in this city.  There is a high rise wall which surrounds the city. And because of this you would be about to recapture  [...]

Get Enchanted in Girona, Spain

Although not very famously known is the richest city in Spain, No, it’s not Madrid ! I am taking about the charming city of Girona. This is a city that exists from thousands of years and is the capital of Catalonia. The city is very beautifully maintained and if you take a walk out onto the uncrowded streets then you would know exactly what I am talking about! Since the city is not that populated, it is quite difficult to get lost here. The city of Girona has a lot of historical importance as the city has been taken over by foreign colonies seven times. The entire town is enclosed, so to speak, with high rising walls that go high up and then lower continuously like a loop. These were built to protect the city during earlier times. You could even take a walk up these walls for free. One of the most visited places in Girona is the cathedral.  [...]

New Orleans resting on the rim of Mississippi river

New Orleans is for sure a very seductive city. Located in Louisiana State of America, the city is placed in between the Lake Pontchartrian, which is located to the north and River Mississippi, which is located to the south. The various city areas are designated as downriver or upriver areas depending upon the location of the area in connection to the River Mississippi.
